Rene was born and raised in Weslaco, Texas and came to Michigan as a migrant farm-worker. He is a founding member of the Tex-Mex musical group Los Bandits de Michigan. Rene Meave is an experienced song writer/entertainer who has been recognized by both the American Song Festival and the BMI Song Festival.
